  1. Thank you, Mr. President.

    • There are days that I cannot even imagine being him. I mean, I suppose I never can, but there are many ways in which I feel that he and I and his wife and my husband and my friends and his friends — minus the power, we’re all kind of from the same batch of humanity-dough. Having to stand up before the entire country and talk about 5 year olds who will never get to have their own children…. Wow.

Considering the number of threats Obama (and I presume the rest of his family) has received for the unmitigated gall of being a black President, I imagine this must especially hit home for him, that it’s all too real. I imagine he’s had to sit through breifings with the Secret Service about scenarios if Sasha or Malia were shot at school, and he must already have nightmares about it.

  3. I went down to my state Capitol today as a volunteer to ask legislators to support a ban on semi-automatic assault weapons. Then this happened. So, so horrible. I made a very homemade video with a call to action and put it on my blog. We can change this.

  4. Reblogged this on The Life of Kylie and commented:
Numbers for national action. Thanks Emily Hauser.
