Obama on rape & politicians making decisions for women (or: My President’s a feminist, part the many).

“Rape is rape. It is a crime…. The second thing this underscores, though, is this is exactly why you don’t want a bunch of politicians, mostly male, making decisions about women’s health care decisions.” (And, it should be noted: The crowd goes wild!)

And furthermore: “These are not just women’s issues, these are family issues.”

  1. If you’re still undecided, I cannot fathom it, but here is a perfect example of why Barack Obama is a superior choice to Mitt Romney. He is will to give women their due, willing to trust them with their own decisions, willing to support them in every fashion possible. Mitt Romney, to put it plainly, is not. Or, if he is, you’d never know it, because his position has changed so many times on these issues, you’re not sure where he stands.

Again, no one will claim he is a perfect man, but at least Barack Obama believes in people. That should make the choice clear.

cannot like this post enough Emily.

  3. It makes one remember why he got elected in the first place. A classy guy.

  4. What a pity that the host of the show is actively campaigning for Romney …
