Things that are allowed.

Further to yesterday’s post delineating a handful of things that are no longer acceptable (if, in fact, they ever were), hereunder you will find a list of things that you may, in fact, do:

1) sell condoms in a fashion that illustrates the point (see also: yesterday’s #3).

2) make life hard for assclown GOP politicians who are still trying to question the President’s citizenship (and may I add: Hawaii – hell yeah!).

3) watch Penguin Cam while you still can – it’s been extended through the end of May, which is, I feel safe in saying, barreling down on us.

4) find a way to have this tree-house bedroom built for me (adjusted for a Queen-size mattress, pleaseandthankyou).

5) tell the truth about Jerusalem (oh hey, that’s me! If you only click one of these links, I feel very powerfully that this should be the one, don’t you?)

6) dance to this song as if you really were 25 again and in a club and it’s 2:00 am and you aren’t even a little tired yet (unless you are all of those things, in which case: Carry on).

And finally, you may (and in fact are highly encouraged to) watch the first episode of this adorable new web series Company Car, by Wong Fu Productions (h/t & gratitude to the boy) – after that, you may watch episode 2 and episode 3, as well! I’m a giver.

Accept artistic invisibility. Go guerrilla. Be a whisper in the grass. And watch the world change as a result all around you.

  2. PENGUIN CAM! They’re so cute and fat and waddly and dumb! awwwwwwwwww.

I love the penguins and the penguin noises, even if they don’t sound anything like Morgan Freeman.
The days are drawing in down in Antarctica, the lights are on less and less. We can only hope that with coming of the sun back to the South Pole in our autumn, the Penguin Cam will return to brighten our smiles in the dour days of winter.

    • From your mouth to God’s ears, my friend.

Here’s my best: When I’ve turned down the volume on my speakers and forgotten that I have a browser open to Penguin Cam, and then turn the volume back up for some reason, and suddenly my office is filled with penguin calls. It makes me smile!

  4. Shameless blog flogging allowed?

Guest-hosting on The Posner Show, Sarah talks to Mark about the controversy over whether the 2012 Olympics should memorialize the Israeli athletes murdered forty years ago in Munich. Is anything involving Israel inevitably political? Mark and Sarah move on to the recurring question of whether Benjamin Netanyahu is committed to peace. Is this the year when the two-state solution will die? What, if anything, should liberal American Jews do about Israel? They close by analyzing the constant hand-wringing over the Jewish vote.
