9/11 happened to us all.

Offered with no comment, but ongoing prayer for healing and peace — and deep thanks to this man for his courage then, and his honesty now.

Thanks so much for putting this up. I reposted to my FB page.

  2. Those who rushed in can never be paid enough. We will always owe them, we must never forget them. That’s a powerful piece. Thank you.

  3. That day, we were all victims. What has to happen now is for us to stop being victimized, especially by those who do not understand the significance of the event. The event occurred because of our country’s hubris, and one man’s fanaticism. He told his minions to destroy symbols of our power and kill the innocents within, a task he was more than willing to order others to accomplish in his name, as cowards often do.

As was often said in the days after the disaster, we must get on with normal life, for if we don’t, the terrorists win. The acrimony over the Muslim cultural center is the true victory the terrorists are looking for. Rather than stick to our principles of freedom of worship and the liberty of all Americans, we seek to set aside over two hundred years of progress, to fall back upon fear and ignorance. We do their work for them, and in the process, give them fodder to continue their “holy” war.

Wake up, America. Awaken to a new day, a day where we join hands, where we stand together and we say “No, you will not divide us.” Let us light the flame of liberty, not usher in the darkness of tyranny. Let us stand as one nation.
